Becoming a Member
Waterside Credit Union membership is open to anyone living or working in the BT47 or BT48 postcode areas. No appointment necessary – just drop in! For more info, call 02871 345579. New members must provide proof of identity and address verification (see the attached list). An entrance fee of £1.00 and a minimum balance of £10.00 is required.
PROOF OF IDENTITY (must include a photo):
- Current Driving Licence
- Valid Passport
- Electoral ID Card
ADDRESS VERIFICATION (dated within the last six months):
- Utility Bill
- Bank/Building Society/Post Office Statement
- Letter from Benefits Agency or HMRC
- Driving Licence (if not used for photo ID)

Junior Members
PROOF OF IDENTITY: As per Money Laundering Regulations, we need proof of identity. Accepted documents include:
- Junior’s full birth certificate or
- Junior’s valid passport,
As address verification we also need:
- Parent or guardian’s proof of address (see list above)
